Capt. Peter Joins Pro Staff with Evinrude Outboards

Sunday, April 27th, 2014

Often times one of the measures of accomplishment within the fishing industry is those organizations with which a guide is associated. And the designation of ‘Pro Staff’ is an indicator of ‘significant influence’ within the industry. Capt. Peter is now one of the elite fishermen as recognized by Evinrude, a division of BRP, Inc., as a Pro Staff’ member. (This is one of several Pro Staff’ designation for Native Sons guides Peter Deeks and Rocky Van Hoose – see our captain’s page on the website for other Pro Staff positioned earned by Peter and Rocky)

We invite our readers to visit Evinrude’s website for more information on the outstanding outboards offered by Evinrude -   http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/

Fishermen and Fishers of Men

Friday, May 17th, 2013

By nature of their profession, pastors and ministers in our community rarely get a change to gather collectively in a recreational setting and when a chance does come, it is so refreshing for them. Recently Jerry Butz and Boaters Exchange organized such a setting by hosting an inshore fishing tournament for our pastor and pairing them with local guides. Both Capt. Peter and Capt. Rocky participated in the event and had an absolute blast fishing with the clerics. Peter’s crew caught the first place redfish and the second place trout in the tournament while Rocky’s team took first place trout and second place redfish (for the record, the first place trout was slightly bigger than the first place redfish). Pictured below are Pastor Titus Green of FBC, MI holding the winning 28 inch trout followed by Pastor Richard Fuller, also with FBC, IM, holding the second place red.
